Idaho City

One weekend afternoon in December we decided to take a drive up to Idaho City. It was a beautiful drive. The sun was shining and the scenery was great. There really isn't much to do when you get there. Everything was closed except the Ice cream Parlor. We were told that they just put in a tubing lift up the road. We didn't bring snow gear though. It was funny how every car we passed had a tree tied to the top of their car. Apparently it's a great place to cut your own Christmas tree down.
Daddy checking up on his facebook. LOL!
Beau posing so nicely for me as usual....haha
yes, I was there too!
Tobe having some fun throwing snowballs with the kids
My poser
We couldn't get Beau out of the snow piles! It reminded me of when he was 4 yrs. old and we went to McCall and he dove head first into a snow pile and we had to pull him out!
There is lots of cool old buildings. They have a mining store you can pan for gold in the summer. They also have old museums and antique stores.
Isn't she lovely?!
Old Firehouse
Notice the kids head down eating snow...
This building was built in the 1800's. When we were walking around, a huge drift of snow fell off of a building and almost hit Scarlett. It was a little scary! I can see why they have to clear snow from the roofs.
Wet and ready to go home...It was a fun family day!
